Growing Up Fast

Ok, I know that when you have an 8lb 12oz baby, you should not be surprised when he continues to grow quickly and be way high in the baby size percentile. But, when you are used to picking up a 24 pound little girl, her 13.5 pound brother feels like a feather. So it should not have come as a shock to me when I had to spend this week sorting all the clothes that have been given to me to find 3-6 month clothes for my two month old little boy. It should also not have been a shock when he was just the perfect length (24 inches) for his new size clothes. It was a shock though. My little boy is growing up too fast.

Micah has started laughing now and that coupled with his big smiles can make even sitting on the couch a wonderful event. He likes to stand and put weight on his legs and he has amazing head control. I look forward to the day when I can put him in his Exersaucer and he can see the world from a different view. For now though, his favorite place to be is his swing. (Just imagine a motorized hammock.)
